Dr. Alex Kneeland
Dr. Alex Kneeland, a native of Summit, South Dakota, attended Mount Marty University where she was a member of the women’s basketball team and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology, also minoring in business. She went on to complete her Doctor of Optometry training at Midwestern University – Arizona College of Optometry in Glendale, Arizona.
Her professional interests include managing ocular disease as well as maintaining ocular health and vision. She is an active member of the South Dakota Optometric Society (SDOS).
In her free time, Dr. Kneeland enjoys spending time on the water and cheering on her Green Bay Packers.
Dr. Mark Steckler
Dr. Mark T. Steckler, a native of Yankton, South Dakota, attended South Dakota State University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology and microbiology. He completed his Doctor of Optometry at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon.
Spending his first year practicing optometry in Minnesota, he knew he wanted to get back closer to home. Dr. Steckler opened the doors of Steckler Eye Care Center in 1994 and has been enjoying life serving patients of the Yankton region since. He is an active member of the South Dakota Optometric Society (SDOS).
In his free time, Dr. Steckler enjoys the outdoors, especially on the golf course, and spending time with his family.
